Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of TurquoiseStone, provided by CaravanStone ("CaravanStone," "we," "us," or "our"), together with its accompanying customer account portal (together, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

CaravanStone provides TurquoiseStone, a desktop publishing-workflow application that includes a plugin for Adobe InDesign, together with an accompanying customer account portal, designed to help teams prepare and manage content for publication.

2. Accounts and Companies

To use the Service, you must have a CaravanStone account. An account may exist without belonging to any company. Access to company-scoped TurquoiseStone features requires an eligible, active membership in a company (workspace), where applicable. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for activity that occurs under your account. Company administrators are responsible for managing membership within their company, including inviting new members and removing existing members.

3. Subscriptions and Seat-Based Licensing

Access to the Service is provided on a subscription basis at the company level. Within a subscribed company, access is granted per seat; only members with an assigned seat may use the Service. Product entitlement depends on your account remaining eligible to use the Service, your company's subscription being active, and your having an assigned seat.

4. Payments

Subscriptions are sold and billed through FastSpring, our commerce and payments provider. Pricing, billing, and payment terms in effect at the time of your purchase are provided by FastSpring. Where a cancellation is scheduled to take effect at the end of a billing period, access to the Service may continue through the remainder of that period, subject to the commercial subscription status confirmed by FastSpring and the other Service eligibility requirements described in these Terms.

5. Adobe InDesign Dependency

Certain features of the Service require a separately licensed, compatible installation of Adobe InDesign, which you must obtain from Adobe. Your use of Adobe InDesign is governed by Adobe's own terms and is not part of this agreement.

6. AI-Assisted Features

TurquoiseStone includes optional features — for text generation and, separately, image generation — that let you connect your own account with a supported third-party AI provider (such as Anthropic or OpenAI) to help generate or adjust content. You choose whether to use these features and connect your own account credentials for the applicable supported provider, and you are responsible for your own account, usage, and any costs associated with that provider. Your AI provider credentials are stored locally on your device; CaravanStone does not receive or store them on its servers. Content you submit through an AI-assisted feature is transmitted directly from the application to the applicable AI provider for that feature, and your use of that provider's service is subject to its own terms, separate from these Terms. CaravanStone does not purchase, own, or operate any AI provider's service on your behalf, and the providers supported by TurquoiseStone may change over time.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including by attempting to circumvent entitlement or licensing controls, interfering with the Service's operation or security, or using the Service for any unlawful purpose.

8. Intellectual Property

CaravanStone and its licensors retain all rights, title, and interest in and to the Service, including the TurquoiseStone application and plugin. As between you and CaravanStone, you retain ownership of the content you create or process using the Service; we do not claim ownership of your publishing content.

9. Service Availability and Changes

We may modify, update, or discontinue features of the Service from time to time. We will make reasonable efforts to communicate material changes where practical.

10. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for an account or company, in whole or in part, in cases of suspected misuse, security concerns, non-payment, or as required by law.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, except as required by applicable law.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CaravanStone will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above when we do.
